God’s beauty is so magnificent. The sky, the trees, the grass, His creation. Sometimes in life we have to take a moment to stop what we’re doing, pause, and embrace the moment and the things around us. So many times in life we feel like we have to rush from place to place, from event to event, from meeting to meeting, from call to call, and the list can go on and on and on. Can you relate?
God loves us so much that despite how many times we mess up throughout the day or fail to recognize His beauty around us, He graces us with another day to start fresh, to enjoy Him, to be in His presence, to enjoy His beauty, and most importantly, experience His peace. Need I say more? Just like Psalm 27:4 (ESV) says….
One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.
The one thing I have learned over the years and am embracing more now as I get older, is that no matter how much we think we have our life together, we are always going to face situations, trials, challenges, or whatever you may call it, that are going to challenge the very core of who we are and where we put our trust.
When God talks about peace in the bible, like in John 14:27, He is not saying that our surroundings or the things happening in our lives are always going to be peaceful, however, He’s saying that through Him and in Him, we can be at peace in the MIDST of our circumstances and the pressures of life. If you truly embrace this word and receive what God is saying, you will start doing the happy dance like me.
[John 14:27] Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
So many times in life we worry about the next thing, so busy trying to rush and do everything under the sun, and don’t even take the time to give God praise by embracing the things that we’re grateful for. I am sharing this message because I have found myself guilty of being so busy at times, or at least I thought I was busy, that I had not even slowed down enough to embrace the moment and the pockets of time that God did give me.
Can you relate?
I encourage you today, to take time to embrace every moment that God has given you, and to not take it for granted. So many people did not wake up this morning and we are so blessed to be able to see another day.
Remember, that no matter how good you are with time management and organization, God is the ultimate time manager and is the redeemer of time. He created time, so who are we to try to manipulate it and to rush the flow of God.
Live each day on purpose.
Count your blessings.
Embrace each moment like its’ your last.
