What are you hoping for? What have you been seeing in your imagination or in your heart? Many people spend years, decades, and most of the time, their entire lives wishing and hoping for something without ever taking action towards that something.
Whether it be a dream that you had when you were younger, an idea you’ve always wanted to act upon, or a desire for a business you had dreamed of, but feel it’s too late to pursue, you are not alone. For those who are single, you may even be desiring, praying for, and hoping for a spouse one day, but feel like you’ve been single waaaayyyy too long. Let me say it again, you are not alone!
Ever since I was younger, I was always a daydreamer and someone who had a vivid imagination. I still am actually. I had always wondered why I would watch Cribs, (I’m dating myself), or the Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous (I’m really dating myself), and even be memorized by fairy tale love stories or those who had an incredible lifestyle, where they had both time, money, and happiness. Have you ever wondered that yourself? God knows the desires that He has for you and He knows the desires that are deep down in the depths of your heart. Rest assured that despite how you may feel right now and what you may see, God has you exactly where He wants you.
From my personal experience, I’ve learned the value of keeping what I want in front of me and constantly speaking what I want and expect, versus what I see in the natural. I want to encourage you to let you know that there is hope! I’ll say it again. There IS hope! I can confidently say that over the years God has shown me through experiences and through life circumstances that He is faithful and has a strategic plan for my life.
Every time I have brought something before the Lord and talk to Him about my desires, hopes, and dreams, even if I don’t see them fully manifested in the natural, I can honestly say that God has shown me some of my desires that have come to pass and the little things that I sometimes overlook. It’s a matter of looking at the little things (although their big things in God’s eyes) that take place in our lives and reminding ourselves that those little things add up to big things, and eventually those big things add up to major things, and those major things add up to a manifestation of a BIG dream.
I love talking to dreamers; people who always have a sense of hope, knowing that they are going to eventually accomplish their dreams and goals that they have. It’s important to surround ourselves with people who are further along in life than we are. Surrounding ourselves with people who are dreamers, people that dream bigger than us, think bigger than us, have larger wallets than us (if you know what I mean), and people who have achieved more than us, etc. This is how we are stretched, and can get out of our comfort zone, which is what God desires for all of us.
Many successful people say the phrase, “you will become like the top five people who you spend the most time with”, which is what I have experienced in my own life. Have you ever wondered why you seem to be drawn to people who are similar to you, have the same interests as you, similar professions as you, and even have a similar style as you? Take a moment to reflect on these questions, as I am doing that as I’m typing this message.
Before being introduced to successful entrepreneurs a few years ago, I never realized how true that statement was until it started becoming a reality for me. I always tried to hang out with positive people, but honestly, never knew how much of an internal and lifelong impact surrounding myself with certain people could make in my life. That’s why it is so important to be mindful of who we let into our inner circle, while also being mindful of who we let speak into our lives because we WILL become like the top five people we hang around; like it or not.
If you don’t like the person you’re becoming, then you may want to analyze the top five people you’re spending most of your time with. Whether it be in-person, virtually, in your dreams, or through reading, these are things you need to keep in mind when developing and establishing relationships.
If you’re anything like me, ever since I’ve accepted Christ into my life and decided to make Him the head of my life, it’s always been on my heart to ask God to constantly put godly men and women in my life that I can trust, develop heart-strings with, who I can learn from, and go through and grow in life with. God has definitely answered my prayers in that department, however, He’s constantly guiding me on how to maintain and add value to the relationships I already have. I pray the same for you.
I share all this to let you know from my heart how much God loves you. He desires to see ALL your dreams and desires come to pass. As you continue to seek after Him and to absorb yourself in God’s word, know that God honors your faith, and He sees the struggles, victories, and situations you are going through.
A great inspiration for both my husband and I that I’m excited to share with you is Terri Savelle Foy; She is a “cheerleader of dreams and is convinced that “if you can dream it, God can do it.” She is known across the globe as a world-class motivator of hope and success through her transparent and humorous teaching style” (Terri Savelle Foy website, http://www.terri.com/about/about-terri/). If you want to be inspired by a woman who is led by the holy spirit, is genuine, and funny, then I would highly encourage you to check out her podcasts. This is my PSA blog announcement for today (chuckle).
It may not seem as though you’re seeing results right now, however, the seeds that you’re planting, both in feeding your mindset, and in feeding your desires, hopes, and dreams, those seeds are going to come up in due time. It may not be in your time, but it WILL be in God’s time. Remember in Romans 8:28, where it says, “And we know that all things works together for the good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”. This is God’s reminder to us that everything we’re going through right now and believing Him for, is all working out according to His purpose.
Continue to keep hoping friends, and despite what you do not see, know that your harvest is coming, and in the spirit realm, it is already here. See through your eyes of faith, and hope for what you do not see! Selah!
Are you truly hoping for what you do not see and need encouragement? If so, please comment, so I’ll know how to pray for you. Sometimes expressing ourselves in writing is the best healer and encourager.
